Have you heard the skeet?

Have you heard the skeet?

Wow the end of a manic opening week here at FitnessPod and its been fandabulous!

I must say FitnessPod has been very well received all round and from all ages. We’ve really had some lovely comments and everyone seems to think its a simple but brilliant idea …
One thing we keep getting asked “is it a franchise?” The answer is no. The idea was thought up by my husband Ian – who really is a very clever man!

The number of people signing up for our free, no obligation, no contract memberships has been phenomenal along with the building number of bookings …and even more encouraging repeat bookings! That puts a big smile on our faces as that means we’re doing it right!

We were very pleased to report via our Facebook page that we’ve changed our policy and now allow over 12’s to use the GymPods under the strict supervision of an adult. Having two teenage boys, child health is something that’s close to our hearts.
Luckily for us our boys are very sporty and do plenty of exercise but we are well aware there are teenagers out there who would benefit from regular exercise but find it difficult to workout because of the usual embarrassing teenage body hang ups – we’ve all been there! Now they can enjoy a workout – and a catch up with mum or dad – and make exercise an enjoyable and social part or their life.
That’s not to say our boys haven’t also enjoyed the FitnessPods. Trouble is I can’t keep up the conversation with them while I’m gasping for breath on the treadmill!

Speaking of social the pods are enjoying gossip and banter (or as we say in the Isle of Man .. skeet!) from mums, dads, girlfriends, husbands, wives … they really are a great place to spend a quality hour with your loved ones while getting fit at the same time (plus conversation and laughs take your mind off the pain!). And the bonus is you pay per pod not per person so you split the cost.

So there you go it’s a brand new idea, exciting and exclusive to the Isle of Man so get yourselves down there and check out the skeet!
